Our vegan cooking classes can teach you all that.

Details

  • Learn 3 recipes per class. Instructions handout included. No prior experience required.
  • Price: $40/person. All classes held at Arya Bhavan restaurant with proper social distancing and safety precautions. Participants MUST WEAR A MASK.
  • Registration required. 10 ppl max per class. No walk-ins. 48-hour notice needed for cancellations.

Vegan by birth, Chef Kirti is the heart of Arya Bhavan. She has always had a big passion for healthy cooking and has made it her mission to teach others how to make food that is good for the body, the mind, and the soul.

Indian Veggie Feast

Yes, vegetables are good for you and should be a BIG part of your diet. But how do you keep your vegetables dishes varied? Our Veggie Feast classes are a good start! Learn how to make 3 tasty vegetable dishes that will satisfy your taste buds, your belly, and your health:

  • Indian Vegetable Drumsticks: an anti-bacterial and detoxifying vegetable cooked with chickpea flour (a source of protein); the moringa vegetable contains all the vitamins, minerals and 18 of the 20 amino acids the human body needs
  • Indian Spinach & Eggplant Dish
  • Tindora: a popular Indian dish based on its name-sake green vegetable and flavored with Ayurvedic spices (a great pairing with lentils pasta!)

Indian Lentils Dishes

A versatile and nutritious ingredient, lentils are a huge part of Indian cuisine. In this class, you will learn how to cook with lentils to make dishes that are rich in fiber and protein:

  • Dal Fry: popular Indian lentils dish
  • Utta Pam (has gluten): lentil and rice pancake with fresh vegetables and chutney
  • Arya Bhavan’s black lentils dish

Vegan Protein Dishes

Who says vegan can’t get enough protein?

  • Chana Masala: a chickpeas-based Arya Bhavan favorite
  • Quinoa Biryani: a variation of the popular Indian Biryani dish which substitutes rice with quinoa as a complete source of protein
  • Dried Apricots Protein Bar: a much healthier alternative to store-bought snack bars that promise protein but also deliver preservatives and sugar
